Here’s how it works:

If you nominate a business for the ballot or vote for a nominee, you will be automatically entered into a random drawing for the chance to win a Visa Gift Card valued at $100. You can use it anywhere you like, but you’ll get good karma if you spend it at a locally-owned business! Prize winners will be notified in mid-November.

Please note: you must nominate or vote in at least 20 categories to be eligible to win this prize. Gotta spread that local business love around!

Disqualified nominations will not be eligible for the drawing. Repeated disqualified entries will result in ineligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes.

Disqualified entries include:

• Nominees who do not qualify for the categories in which they are nominated. For example, a shoe store nominated as a bakery will not be eligible. This kind of stuff actually happens. Check your categories!

• Nominees who are no longer in business or whose existence, contact information, or geographic location cannot be verified online.

• Nominees who do not have a physical address in the Eligibility Zone. Only nominees from the following cities will be accepted:
